Gina Silverman, coloratura soprano, is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and counts herself lucky to make her career there. Ms. Silverman has performed extensively throughout the Bay Area in musical theater, oratorio, and opera. She sang the role of Ann Eggerman in Goat Hill Opera’s production of Sondheim’s A Little Night Music and also portrayed a number of Gilbert & Sullivan
heroines with Savoy Express in performances in the Bay Area and Florida. Concert appearances include Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes, Vaughan-Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem, and Mozart's Regina Coeli and Great Mass in C. Favorite operatic roles include Olympia (Tales of Hoffmann), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Anne Trulove (The Rake's Progress) Adele (Die Fledermaus), and Barbarina (Le Nozze di Figaro).
Ms. Silverman graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor's degree in Music and History and earned her Master's degree in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She was awarded first place in the National Association of Teachers of Singers Competition in Opera, the East Bay Opera League Competition, the Léni Fé Bland Scholarship, and the San Francisco Conservatory Concerto Competition. She currently teaches voice lessons in her private studio in San Francisco.
